Alhamdulillah wa salatu wa salam ala rasulullah (SAW) amma ba'd... Assalamualikum

We are living today in a world where every small thing can turn into a big news and make its way to headlines and in the same time some big stuff get neglected. We, as Muslims, it is our duty to be the best in every small and big aspect, let it be in the office, school, college, gathering, mall, house, etc.

Unfotunately, we have developed some bad habits. We tend to give up on our Principles every now and then. At present, we don't have any principle that we have completely abided by for our life. Our Principles keep changing with time and people. It is different in different situation.

For example, when we are with your friends, we tell them stuff like 'I went there yesterday and saw this and that', 'I bought this stuff of the latest model', etc.  Why do we tell all this when it won't much matter if we actually tell them that we were at home with our family last night? Will they care much? Yes, they may for a moment. But after that, certainly, they will forget it. We should not comprimize our character for, atleast, such small miniature things.

Another instance, when one of us copies in the exams or helps their friends. We tend to make an excuse like, 'We are saving them', 'I will fail if I dont copy', etc.

But we fail to realize that, if we were wise in using our time and helping our friends before the exams, we would never reach this situation. We reach this point because we think, 'Ah, its just an exam. I will study later or copy if I can't. This case is very neglected and does not hold weight much for most people. But we have to remember to live upto the spirits of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In every case and every of our dealing, we have to stick to the Principles of our Prophet (SAW).

One last instance that's worth mentioning here is that we, not only, have to be true to others but also to ourselves. Sometimes, we lie to ourselves like, 'I don't care about so-and-so', 'I am on my own', 'I can do this-and-that', etc. We should, seriously, stop doing it because before we deal with others , we need to learn to deal with ourselves. People keep lieing to themselves and think that they are somehow helping themselves but they fail to realize that if you can't apply your Principles to yourselves, you will never be able to do it others as this will turn into your habit to think you can help people by lieing.

When we can't go to an invited place, we pretend to be 'the most busiest person in the world' while in reality, it's just that we don't feel like attending to that invitation. Why?

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was known as As-Sadiq Al-Amin (The Truthful and The Honest) even before he received ProphetHood. He had this noble character since always. He was so know for honesty and truthfulness that some people did not know his real name but knew that he was called as As-Sadiq Al-Amin. We have to understand, the importance of being honest. He (SAW) was so honest that when he told people of his ProphetHood, some believed in him because they knew he would never lie and others who called him liars knew deep down in their hearts that he was not lieing.

Be Honest. Be Truthful. Because this was our Prophet Muhammad (SAW). To conclude, a Hadith: Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Let not respect for men prevent any of you from speaking the Truth when he knows it.”

If I made any mistakes, it was from Shaytan and my own mistakes. If anything you find is useful, is from Allah as He guides whom He wills.

JazakAllahu Khairan. BarakAllah Fekkum and Salam...
