Alhamdulillah wa salatu wa salam ala rasulullah (SAW) amma ba'd... Assalamualikum

How many Salah's do we miss a day? Atleast one. Right? If not all, most of us. We all consider it to be 'Just a Salah'. We have the notion that we are going to make it up later. Thats the problem I want to highlight here. Making up a salah is only for those who a valid excuse and not because they slept off without having the intention to wake up for the salah. The salah which is most commonly missed is Fajr because many people tend to sleep during that time. They give the excuse that its difficult to wake up, so they will make it up next morning.

Do you know that Fajr azan is not the same as other Salah azans? There is an addition to it and that will be a reply to all the excuses

".....Come to success. Prayer(Salah) is better than sleep (x2)..."

Allah(SWT) says in the Quran: “Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salaat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salaat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell. Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allaah and His Messenger Muhammad), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.” [Maryam 19:59-60]

Read again and reflect upon this Ayah. Does it give you a stinge of goosebumps?

Do you will feel guilty? You can always repent. He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Here are some steps to avoid missing further Salah:

1. Make intention while you sleep that you want to wake up for Fajr.

2. Sleep early. I know it may be hard for most of the people, but if you wake up for that Fajr and pray sincerely, its gonna make up for every of the wordly things you were going to do. And let's be honest, we dont do anything important but rather just chilling around. So we can give that up for Allah, can we?

3. Set 2-3 alarms. Most of the times you just off one and go to sleep but if you keep many, you would get irritated to a point and then you would realise that its better you get up for your Salah. The difference between two of them should be around 4-7 mins so as you dont go in deep sleep after an alarm that the next one wakes you up.

4. If you miss some other Salah like asr and its not due to sleep, then read the above Ayan again. The worldy desires will give you no benefit my brother/sister. Just find 10 mins from whatever your doing. Iam sure you can find thta much time.

A hadith to end with:  Prophet (SAW) said: “The difference between us and them is Salah. Whoever neglects it is a kaafir.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad and the authors of Sunan with a saheeh isnaad)

This clearly states that if any one of us neglects our Salah. they will be like a Kafir. There will be no difference between us and them. I remind you again, please, dont miss any salah without a valid excuse. Prayer gets you close to Allah. Stay close to Him and everything else will find its way to you. In Sha Allah

If I made any mistakes, it was from Shaytan and my own mistakes. If anything you find is useful, is from Allah as He guides whom He wills.

JazakAllahu Khairan. BarakAllah Fekkum and Salam...
