Alhamdulillah wa salatu wa salam ala rasulullah (SAW) amma ba'd... Assalamualikum

 

Many of us try getting close to Allah but some end up telling"Its not working", "I feel no connection", etc.

 

The way to be close with Him is in Salah. And in Salah your most closest to Him when your in sajdah, as Prophet Muhammad(SAW) has said:

“The closest that a servant is to his Lord is when he is in prostration.” (Muslim)

 

The Prophet ﷺ  said:

“My ummah on that day will surely have bright faces because of sujood, and bright arms and feet because of ablution.” (Ahmad)

 

Shaytan hates it when a believer is in Sajdah. And we sure wanna do things that he hates as those things please our Rabb. It has been narrated that when the son of Adam recites the verse of Sajdah (prostration) and then falls down in prostration, Satan goes into seclusion and weeps and says: “Woe unto me, the son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated and Paradise was entitled to him and I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused and am doomed to Hell.” (Muslim)

 

So next time when you go down, stay there for some time. Ask Allah for forgiveness or for anything you want. Remember He is Able to do All Things. So dont thing its too big. Just ask Him.
