3. Revelation
So if there is a Creator, He must have send a Revelation.
Let me explain my point. Is stealing wrong? Ofcourse it is. Is helping the poor right? Yes, indeed. [Does anybody think the other way round? Nah :D) Now, who told you what's right and what's wrong? People, society? From where did they learn? It ultimately comes down to the Revelation of God. For example, when you buy a Samsung Galaxy s5 (and whatever is it you want to buy ... not necessarily a s5 :D), do you get an instruction manual? Yes. What is there in it? Its a guide to how to use it as you may be unaware of how to (or atleast about some of its features). This is because the one created the s5 knows it better than you do. He will tell you in that manual what you can and what you should not do with that s5. So its the same with us. If He did not send the manual we would never know what's right and what's right. We would just wander. But the Creator did not just create us to wander.
Everything has a purpose. For example, that s5 you bought has a purpose. Maybe games, chats, calls, apps, etc. But it has a purpose. Everything created has a purpose. Another example. Your chair/sofa/bed? Yes. Its purpose is to give a place to sit/rest/sleep. So our purpose is mentioned in the Revelation, Quran:
"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." [Adh-Dhāriyāt 51:56]
Now some of you be like, 'I agree there is a Revelation, but why Quran?' There are four possibilities to who wrote the Quran: An Arab, Non-Arab, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) or the Creator Himself. So lets go further to see who actually wrote the Quran.
So, earlier, we came to an agreement (I hope) that the creator of s5 knows it better than you do or anyone does. If something goes wrong with the phone, who do you go it? You go back to the same shop from where you purchased and they give to the Samsung company to repair it. Why? Because they know it better. They know where it went wrong and how to make it fine.
Iam gonna mention three points about Quran (Miracles, Challenge not met, Linguistic Aspect) by which I will further explain my point.
A) Some Miracles of Quran:
1. "Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the Earth were meshed together then We ripped them apart?" [Quran 21.30]
The Universe was created in a Big Bang, as we all know today. The Big Bang (in a nutshell) is that the Universe were joined together, then a Big Bang happened, and now we have the different planets, stars, etc. This was mentioned in the Quran more than 1400 years ago. And the scientists found maybe around 50 years. So how is it possible, that something is mentioned in a Book without any knowing at that time period?
2. "And He (Allah) creates pairs, male and female, from semen emitted." [Quran 53:45-46]
The Quran says that it is the semen that determines whether the baby is male or female. But since semen only comes from males then this means that it is the males who determine the sex of the baby. Scientists discovered this maybe 100 years ago. So how is it possible, that something is mentioned in a Book without any knowing at that time period?
3. "You see the mountains and think they are firmly fixed: but they are moving away just like the clouds are moving away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, Who disposes of all things in perfect order: for He knows all what you do." [Quran 27:88]
We know that the Earth's crust has been slowly moving for billions of years. Not only mountains are still slowly moving but also whole continents.
4." The pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She [Maryam] said, "Oh if only I had died before this time and was something discarded and forgotten!" A voice called out to her from under her, "Do not grieve! Your Lord has placed a small stream at your feet. Shake the trunk of the palm towards you and fresh, ripe dates will drop down onto you. Eat and drink and delight your eyes…" [Quran, 19:23-26]
There is considerable wisdom in the way that Allah recommends Maryam to eat this fruit. The date is an excellent choice of food for the pregnant women and for those who have just given birth. This is a widely accepted scientific fact. The date has one of the highest sugar levels, 60-65%, of all fruits. Doctors recommend that pregnant women be given foods containing fruit sugar on the day they give birth. The aim behind this is to energise and revitalise the mother's weakened body and at the same time to stimulate the milk hormones and increase the levels of mother's milk essential to the new-born baby. The substance oxytocin, which is present in the date, is used in modern medicine to facilitate birth. In fact, oxytocin means "rapid birth." It is also known to increase levels of mother's milk after birth.
5. "Allah created every [living] creature from water. Some of them go on their bellies, some of them on two legs, and some on four. Allah creates whatever He wills. Allah has power over all things.' [Qur'an, 24:45]
Water is the main component of organic matter. 50-90% of the weight of living things consists of water. % of the weight of living things consists of water" appear regularly in encyclopaedias. Furthermore, 80% of the cytoplasm (basic cell material) of a standard animal cell is described as water in biology. The analysis of cytoplasm and its appearance in textbooks took place hundreds of years after the revelation of the Qur'an. It is therefore impossible for this fact, now accepted by the scientific community, to have been known at the time the Qur'an was revealed. Yet, attention was drawn to it in the Qur'an 1,400 years before its discovery.
B) The Quran gives an open challenge to the whole of mankind.
--Say: "If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another." [Qur'an 17:88]
--Or they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad(P)) forged it (the Qur'an)." Say: "Bring you then ten forged surah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" [Qur'an 11:13]
--Or do they say: "He (Muhammad(P)) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a surah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can, besides Allah, if you are truthful!" [Qur'an 10:37-38]
--Or do they say: "He (Muhammad(P)) has forged it (this Qur'an)?" Nay! They believe not! Let them then produce a statement(Ayah) like unto it (the Qur'an) if they are truthful. [Qur'an 52:33-34]
When you read the next Ayah, The Quran made the test easier. It started by challenging mankind to produce something like Quran, 10 chapters like it, 1 chapter like it and then finally 1 Ayah. Yet, till date no one could produce it. If Quran was the word of man, why was no man from more 1400 years been able to produce an Ayah like it?
C) The Quran is perfect from its literary aspect. This has been accepted by Muslims and Non-Muslims.
Muslims:
1. Everything made so much sense. This is the beauty of the Qur'an; it asks you to reflect and reason... When I read the Qur'an further, it talked about prayer, kindness and charity. I was not a Muslim yet, but I felt the only answer for me was the Qur'an and Allah had sent it to me. [Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), former British pop star]
2. I have read the Sacred Scriptures of every religion; nowhere have I found what I encountered in Islam: perfection. The Holy Qur'an, compared to any other scripture I have read, is like the Sun compared to that of a match. I firmly believe that anybody who reads the Word of Allah with a mind that is not completely closed to Truth, will become a Muslim. [Saifuddin Dirk Walter Mosig]
Non-Muslims:
1.“It is impossible that Muhammad (peace be upon him) authored the Quran. How could a man, from being illiterate, become the most important author, in terms of literary merits, in the whole of Arabic literature?
How could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature that no other human-being could possibly have developed at that time, an all this without once making the slightest error in his pronouncement on the subject?”
[Dr. Maurice Bucaille – author of “The Bible, the Quran and Science” 1978, p. 125] (He then reverted to Islam)
2. “A work, then, which calls forth so powerful and seemingly incompatible emotions even in the distant reader – distant as to time, and still more so as mental development – a work which not only conquers the repugnance which he may begin its perusal, but changes this adverse feeling into astonishment and admiration, such a work must be a wonderful production…indeed and a problem of the highest interest to every thoughtful observer of the destinies of mankind.”
[Dr Steingass quoted in T. P. Hughes – “Dictionary of Islam”, pp 256-257]
3. "... the Meccans still demanded of him a miracle, and with remarkable boldness and self confidence Mohammad appealed as a supreme confirmation of his mission to the Koran itself. Like all Arabs they were the connoisseurs of language and rhetoric. Well, then if the Koran were his own composition other men could rival it. Let them produce ten verses like it. If they could not (and it is obvious that they could not), them let them accept the Koran as an outstanding evident miracle."
[The well-known Arabist Hamilton Gibb of the University of Oxford]
Arabs (in specific Arab linguists) at that time were the best in expressing themselves and writing in Arabic Language. For example, famous linguist, Walid ibn Al Mughirah said: "By Allah! This (Quran) cannot come from a human being." Some of you maybe like "What about today's Arabs? Arabs of today have suffered from linguistic degeneration. As generations, went by they began borrowing some words from other language. For example, telephone. They say it as 'telefun'. So Arabs of that time were better in linguistics. When they could not produce anything like the Quran, there is no way that a Non-Arab could do it.
Let me make a point here. The greater the number of rhetorical devices, the better is that poetry, chapter, etc. Now, the smallest chapter in the Quran is only 10 words. How many rhetorical features do you think it has? 5? 10? 15? No, there are 40 RHETORICAL DEVICES in it.
[Go to ] Amazing?
Now, do you think that any man (Arab or Non-Arab) wrote it? If you say maybe some poet did it or Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a poet, then do you think a a man (Prophet Muhammad SAW) in the desert know that everything is created of water? Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known that the universe is "steadily expanding," as the Qur'an puts it, when modern scientists have only in recent decades put forward the idea of the "Big Bang"?
Conclusion: There is a Revelation from the Creator which is the Quran.
Quran also answers where will be going after we die. It mentions that we will be returned to Our Creator and then He will judge between us as to who is good and evil and then will place us in Paradise or Hell based on it. "Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do." [Quran 6:60]
If I made any mistakes, it was from Shaytan and my own mistakes. If anything you find is useful, is from Allah as He guides whom He wills.
